Being in a business whereby we are constantly recruiting can be a real challenge, especially in a constantly evolving online space. Social media algorithms, the current pandemic, different and varied economic fluctuations. As a business owner, it can be really tough at the very best of times to play economist, marketing strategist, psychologist and Life Coach all in the same hat! So today I wanted to share with you the places that I have been receiving good lead flow, quality leads at very low prices and maintaining consistent lead flow. That’s what we all aim for, right?

  1. Linked In job postings. Now given the algorithms and terms and conditions, it can be tricky to navigate as obviously they really only want you advertising a ‘legitimate job’. But I have found that by changing the wording in my ads to NOT use language like business or self-employment or commission or profits, you are more likely to get an ad up. I’ve been averaging around $2 per lead and spending around $15 per business presentation and $100 per new team member. It’s producing incredibly high quality leads – more of them answer their messages and phones than those on Facebook and more are open to looking at a business opportunity. Give it a go!
  2. Facebook free job postings. If you have a FB Business Page, you will see this option on the left menu. As it says, it’s free but again you will need to watch your language. Especially if you do find the ad doing quite well and you want to pay to boost it. You will, however, attract a lot of students and those seeking work sponsorship VISAs so you will need to kiss more frogs but given that it’s free, I’m always happy to spend the time.
  3. FB Campaign Manager. This is something I could train on for hours’ as there are so many different variables. There’s lots of support though from Facebook. Firstly, make sure you have a Business Page set up and you are posting on it daily. Boost a post to get more likes onto your Page – aim for at least 1,000 before you start advertising. And you will have to play. Pretend you are telling a story – albeit a brief story – of your journey in MLM. This will be structured very differently to a Linked In job post as that is just a straight recruitment type ad. This is storytelling. “Hi I’m Fiona and I live on 50 acres in regional Victoria, travel the world, own 19 cars and live a life I could only have dreamt of years ago. I used to work in insurance – long hours, lots of travel and not earning. But thanks to my portable business, I now get to live life on my terms.” You get the idea. Be careful on your spending – no more than $10 per lead and if you are not getting quality, kill your ad and do a new one. Now I know full well that I couldn’t possibly do a thorough training in a paragraph here on this one, but it’s something to keep in mind and start the process of investigating.
  4. Google Ads. So cheap, so simple and yet so effective. They will even provide you with an Ad Strategist for free! My average is around $3 per lead on this platform and less than $40 to presentation. Again, there is training available so give it a go!
  5. Find out if your upline is willing to do a marketing co-operative. This means that a whole heap of people on your team put in x amount of dollars and the leads are distributed like a wheel according to how much each person has spent. Maybe it’s something to consider for your team if you find a particular marketing method that works well. It’s not just helping your team, but it’s boosting your bottom line too.
  6. Blogs. Once you know who your ideal business partner is, start letting your fingers do the researching. For instance, I recently placed an ad on a tennis blog as female tennis players in their 40s and 50s is my target market. I found a website that was ranked less than 100k on Alexa (grab the Google extension at Alexa.com), sent through an enquiry and wrote a quick article on my tennis journey, got my VA to create a banner ad and the owner of the website connected my website to the banner ad so that everytime someone clicked on the banner, they went to my website. It cost me $150 and so far I’ve received around 40 people on my site. No team members as yet, but it’s still early days’. Again, give it a go!

That’s it for now. These are the main methods I’ve been using that have brought me quality leads daily. Reach out if you need any specific support around anything I’ve discussed above. Have fun with it and act like you are the Professional Marketer that you are! We are in business, so now is the time to act like it and get the word out. Test and tune and find what works best for you and then share it with your team. Love to hear your results from implementing any of these methods!
