The biggest reason someone will quit your Network Marketing business is due to lack of training and probably their lack of motivation and “why” (WHY did you bring them in if they have a lack of motivation to begin with???)  So below I’ve decided to prepare a quick checklist of my top 10 ways to ensure your new people leave your business (HINT:  If you do the opposite, oh the possibilities … )

  1. Sign the new recruit and never follow them up;
  2. Alternatively, you could just call them everyday.  No, go one better – call them every hour to find out how many prospects they have called, how much traffic went to their website and anything else they have been or not been working on;
  3. Never ask the new recruit anything about themselves nor find out anything about them or take an interest in them at all – ever;
  4. Make sure you bring on board a real go-getter – you know the ones who know everything because you are sure to learn something from them and they will make you a million bucks;
  5. When you are on the phone with your hot shot new recruit, ask them all the TV shows they watch, magazines and newspapers they read, radio stations they listen to and about the types of people they associate with and compare notes!  I mean those 5 hot new prospects that registered on their website yesterday can surely wait another day – the Final of “So You Think You Can Dance” is on tonight and neither of you can miss it.  But only watch it after you have bitched about that successful friend that just rubs her success in your noses all the time;
  6. Tell your new recruit that their retirement plan is to be subsidised by “the lottery”.  Once you’ve got that mindset kicked in, guaranteed they will be calling YOU everyday asking where their cheque is;
  7. Ask your new recruit for a bit of a laundry list of their achievements and make sure it sounds a bit like a lot of husbands out there (sorry guys) with an awful LOT of unfinished projects.  This recruit will come out of the gates really well, gain momentum and then out of nowhere quit.  Who knows why but it generally stems from the “never finish anything” kind of persona that they have.  As always don’t forget to share about your near successes with them on a fairly constant basis too;
  8. I personally LOVE signing up the ultra-mega-uber enthusiastic.  They always stick around, right?  Nope.  Once they have started with you, they are already looking for the next big, new thing and want to you to follow them too.  Which of course you do, right??
  9. Tell them how fast they are going to make money and how quickly, easy and effortlessly it is to make a million dollars (despite the fact you haven’t achieved that yourself).  I mean everyone loves a “get rich quick scheme” don’t they?
  10. Educate them on what pyramid scams are and tell them that MLM is right up there with them!  I mean it is, isn’t it??  And people are making money and you’re not hurting anyone, so it’s all good, right?  Convince them that if they just buy the top package level by putting their credit card on its limit and mortgaging their house and encouraging others to do the same, they will be onto a winning formula on how to win friends and influence people.
