Recently I started on a path formed by my vision to train thousands of Network Marketers outside of the United States.  I’ve had this vision for a great many years and until now just had no clue as to how to do that.  Now I’m on a whole new journey of taking on Joint Venture partners, writing programs, events, an e-course which completely scares the absolute bejesus out of me.  But, that’s a good thing.  Really.

Some people set goals that are just ridiculously achievable and really that comes back to their own personal growth, self-esteem, beliefs and value system.  It’s different for everyone.  But I think it is safe to say that around 98% of the population has given up on their dreams.  As kids we all wanted to be rock stars and astronauts and world leaders and some pretty influential people didn’t we??  So what happened exactly???  Life happened didn’t it?  We started to learn about rejection, that sometimes life just isn’t fair and that not everyone really wants the best for us.  We learn that the world is not necessarily a wonderful place and we learn cynicism, judgement and ultimately apathy.  We avoid anything that could bring us any degree of rejection or pain in anyway.  That is why most people settle for a job they hate – it’s at the very least predictable.  Being in business is the furtherest thing from predictable, let’s face it!  Who knows what is going to come in each day.  Who has a clue who will call us, e-mail us or visit.  Some of us are just not cut out for that kind of life.  And that’s okay.  Let’s be honest – we need police officers and nurses and teachers etc etc.

So let’s look at the 3% of the population (roughly) that actually write down their goals.  They are the visionaries.  Most of them fully understand the Law of Attraction and how to bring into their reality the things that they most desire.  They also fully appreciate the inherent value of stretching oneself in order to become the person required to achieve hefty goals.  You will never be able to experience the fulfilment of a goal reached by being the same person you are today.  There is work required and not in the physical sense – I mean in the mental sense.  The mind is a bit like an elastic band – once stretched, it never returns to its original shape.

Look at your own goals.  Do they seem relatively easily attainable?  And if they do, you need to stretch a little further, aim a little higher.  These projects I am working on now really and truly scare me.  But I know the very process of putting them all together and putting them out there is forging me into the person I want to be.  I have to really put myself out there – rather nakedly.  It’s a massive risk.  But a calculated one that I am willing to take.  And the rewards for doing so, I know, will be beyond measure.  So have a review.  Maybe it’s time you too started to set goals and targets that really do make you nervous.  Then you will really know if you’re on the right track or not.  Unless of course life is perfect for you in every single way.  Which is no-one.
